Quilty —County Clare
This village lies on the western seaboard 12km north of Doonbeg. It is a small fishing village with currachs much in evidence. Now with no sign of its former woods (in Gaelic Quilty is 'coillte', meaning ?forest'), pollock, bass and mackerel are fished from the shore.
