Boyle —County Roscommon
Boyle nestles at the foot of the Curlew Mountains on the main pass connecting the plains of Connaught with the North. It is a centre of great beauty and of immense historical and archaeological interest for the visitor. It is situated between the great lakes, Lough Gara and Lough Key; and, is a renowned centre for fishermen whether they are interested in trout or course fishing. There is a very scenic 9-hole golf course located about 2 km from the town. The O'Carolan Heritage Park is well worth a visit.
