Ashford —County Wicklow
The scenic village of Ashford is home to the famous Mount Usher Gardens. Located just over 4km north of Wicklow town on the N11, Mount Usher boasts a famous collection of plants gathered from all corners of the world. Devils Glen Waterfall is located 4km west of Ashford on the road to Glendalough via Nuns cross. The waterfall and pool at the head of the glen is called the Devils Punchbowl. Ashford is also home to Tiglin Adventure Centre where one can participate in activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking etc. Devils Glen - an equestrian centre is located just outside of the village and is excellent for people with different levels of experience. Close by is Killoughter, just a few kilometres from Ashford, which is a great area for a days shore angling. Sculpture in Woodland is the home for unique collections of wooden sculptures by Irish and International artists and is located in Ashford and is worth a visit. Ashford provides a wide variety of accommodation, restaurants and pubs.
