Laytown Strand Races

Ireland's unique Race Meeting. Racing on Laytown strand for over140 years. Established in 1868, it is the only race event in Europe run on a beach under the rules of Racing. Entertainment included Race card competition, Brest dressed lady and gent competition.

Directions: 3 - 35 minutes north of Dublin Airport. On exiting Julianstown Village turn right off the old N1 Dublin/Belfast Road. Follow AA Road Signs. Laytown is situated in East Meath - Drogheda 11 km - Dublin 48 km
