General Post Office

Dublin's GPO is a landmark building, situated prominently in the middle of O'Connell Street. It is the headquarters building for An Post, the Irish Postal Service. The foundation stone was laid in 1814 and this was the main stronghold of the Irish Volunteers in the 1916 Rising. Nowadays the General Post Office offers a wide range of services.
