Ardee Baroque Festival

Ardee Baroque is a small jewel of a festival which takes place each year in November. While it may be cold and snowing outside, the evocative churches and castles of mid-Louth provide a warm and atmospheric backdrop to a series of concerts and recitals by world-class musicians, from Ireland and abroad. Anchored by the Irish Baroque Orchestra, directed by Monica Huggett, Ardee Baroque combines performances of music from the 17th and 18th centuries with education work, children’s concerts and activities, and lectures, all leavened by a welcoming and informal atmosphere, in the traditional villages of Ardee and Collon. Ardee Baroque is supported by Louth County Council, the Arts Council and Fáilte Ireland
