Drumcollogher —County Limerick
The National Dairy Museum featuring a fully functioning creamery typical of most Irish towns and villages of past decades is located in the original building where the first dairy co-operative in Ireland was set up in 1889. Immortalised in a Percy French ballad, Dromcollogher is also the home of Irish Dresden since the Saar family fled from the division of Germany and building of the Berlin Wall in the 1960s to settle and establish a prestige new Irish craft industry.
