County Sligo Golf Club
Wie alle guten dinge in Irland, hat auch der County Sligo Golf Club eine starke literarische Verbindung. Einer der ältesten Linkplätze in Irland, wurde dieser Platz auf Land errichtet, welches 1894 von Henry Middleton gepachtet wurde, dem Onkel des berühmten Poeten WB Yeats. 112 Jahre sind seither vergangen, doch der von Harry Shapland Colt erbaute Platz hat nicht nur die Zeit überstanden, er ist noch heute für jeden guten Golfspieler ein harter Könnenstest.
