2013 marks a historic occasion in Carlow Town as they commemorate the 800th anniversary of the construction of Carlow Castle. This four - day event celebrates this important milestone with a history conference, an International Taste of Carlow Food and Craft Fair, musical performances, walking tours, a trad trail and a Ballroom of Romance in the former Town Hall Theatre. Other events throughout the year will also commemorate this important occasion.
