Approved language school organizations
Mei-Relsa : Mei-Relsa is a marketing association for recognized English Language Schools in the Republic of Ireland. Quality is central to Mei-Relsa's mission, and students of every age can benefit from the high quality English language programmes offered at schools throughout the country. All Mei-Relsa Schools are recognized by the Irish Department of Education through and inspection scheme administered by ACELs (Advisory Council for English Language Schools).
Advisory Council for English Language Schools (ACELS) : The Advisory Council for English Language Schools was established to control standards of EFL schools and organizations through an inspection/recognition scheme. ACELS holds a list of all the approved English language schools in the Republic of Ireland and recognition is only given to those schools that meet the high standards required for premises, extramural activities, teaching programmes and qualified staff.
British Advisory Council for Learning : English language schools in Northern Ireland are accredited by The British Council. There are three language schools in Northern Ireland accredited by this body: The University of Ulster, Coleraine; Queen's University, Belfast; and The Foyle Language School, Londonderry. The Council's aim is to connect people with learning opportunities and creative ideas across the world.

This is the most popular type of course for adult learners. Students are introduced to a variety of examinations, including TIE, Cambridge, Pitman, Trinity College London, TOEFL, TOEIC and others. To prepare for these examinations, schools offer specialized courses, either full or part-time, which focus on the individual's needs.
