  • Blarney Castle, in the pretty village just outside  Cork City, provides the perfect backdrop for the Blarney Horse Trials in June.
  • Necame Castle, in the lakelands of  Fermanagh, holds a two-star fixture in September.
  • The Irish Derby meeting at the Curragh is the highlight of the Flat season in June.
  • And if you’re after a typical Irish day out then head to the fun-filled summer festivals at Killarney, Galway, Tralee and Listowel.
