Kilronan Castle Estate and Spa, in Ballyfarnan County Roscommon, is one of Ireland’s most luxurious castle hotels and is the ancestral home of the Tenison family and the legendary Colonel King Tenison. It is one of a few Irish estates that can trace its history back to royal families. It is set on the shore of Lough Meelagh, surrounded by over forty acres of breathtaking scenery, lush green pastures, ancient forests and historical points of interest. Approached by a meandering drive that passes acres of magnificent Roscommon lawns, Kilronan Castle Estate and Spa overlooks the proposed site for a Nick Faldo designed, par three, nine hole golf course due for completion in 2011 and a glistening lake which commands the panoramic beauty of the surrounds.
