Introduction

It’s the family recipe that’s over 200 years old, not the deliciously fresh fruit soda bread Mick picks up at Kilkenny Farmers Market!  In West Cork, Mattie and Mary   take a little taste of the producer-proclaimed ’best cheese in the world. Des and Joe , meanwhile, tackle some lively lobsters before shucking some fresh oysters in Kerry (washed down with the obligatory pint of Guinness a traditional fare best served on the island of Ireland, of course)! Ciara and Ricky  go global in Belfast's buzzing St George's Market, where a freshly cooked platter of seafood paella and buckets of olives has me reaching for the fork! So with an appetite for life and a serious love of good food and drink, its time to tuck into the island of Irelands growing gourmet greats.
