Omagh —County Tyrone

Omagh is the county town (and largest town) of County Tyrone and is one of the largest settlements on the island of Ireland. Omagh is believed to owe its origins to an abbey founded in 792AD, and these days it is a bustling, energetic spot with a wealth of tourist attractions.
Just outside the town is the Ulster-American Folk Park, one of the best open-air museums of its kind with an exhibition detailing the reasons why two million people left Ulster for America in the 18th and 19th centuries.
