Butlersbridge —County Cavan

Butlersbridge was named after Stephen Butler, the founder of Belturbet. Its site on the Annalee River, just before it enters Lough Erne, is very pleasant. The Catholic church in the village was designed in the early 1860s by Cavan architect William Hague. It is one of his earliest works and has a marvellous feeling of lightness in the interior.
