Ravens Rock Farm is a two storey, traditional farmhouse, located adjacent to the owner's residence on a working farm of mixed enterprise, including dairy, beef and sheep. It is situated in a tranquil setting near Ballisodare, County Sligo and is found underneath the Ox Mountains with a view to Knocknarea and Queen Maeve's cairn. There is private car parking to the front of the house and a large enclosed garden at the rear, with garden furniture and barbecue facilities, ideal for children and families. Also, adjacent to the main house is a games room with a small pool table. The house is 3.5km from the village of Ballisodare and 10km from Sligo Town, the capital of the North West. It is an ideal base for touring Yeats Country and centrally situated for a wide range of activities, including horse riding, hiking, walking, fishing, bird watching, golf, water sports and historical sites, such as the well known Carrowmore Tombs. It is also within easy distance of several beaches, including a Blue Flag beach at Mullaghmore and famous surfing areas like Enniscrone and Strandhill. The house itself is heated by oil-fired central heating and boasts timber ceilings throughout. Downstairs boasts a kitchen/dining room with electric cooker, microwave and refrigerator/freezer as well as a sitting room with open fire (turf and logs provided). Guests will find books to suit all ages and a TV and DVD player with a selection of children's DVDs. Upstairs, there are two family-sized bedrooms, each with a single and double bed, and a vanity unit in one. The bathroom has a bath and electric shower. A welcome pack is provided on arrival with homemade scones and plenty of information to make the most of a stay in this scenic area. All bed linen is provided free of charge upon arrival, while towels can be provided at an additional charge. Electricity and oil are charged at an additional rate.
