Kilmurvey House offers B&B accommodation in an 18th century stone-built house situated on the beautiful and historic Aran Island of Inís Mór, off the Galway coast in Ireland. Kilmurvey House, situated halfway along the island of Inís Mór between Kilronan and the western village of Bun Gowla, is ideal for exploring this truly unique island, no place being more than a comfortable one hour's walk distance. This elegant 18th century house, once the family home of the 'Ferocious O'Flahertys' is situated four miles from the ferry port of Kilronan. It has been recently renovated to the highest standards while keeping the old style charm of the house. There are 12 ensuite rooms and all rooms are tastefully decorated and have direct dial telephone. Kilmurvey House offers a wide and varied breakfast menu which includes a variety of fruit compotes, Greek yoghurt, their own homemade granola, selection of cereals, juices, breads and scones baked daily in their Aga. Along with Bewley's tea and coffee. The more traditional breakfasts on offer include tipsy porridge served with a drop of Irish whiskey, full Irish breakfast, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, cinnamon French toast and maple syrup, toasted bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon plate of Irish farm house cheeses. Kilmurvey House has a wine licence if you feel like a little tipple to have with a plate of cheese and crackers during the day, while you sit in the garden and look up towards Dun Aonghus.
