I like walking. And I like festivals…
There are few events in Ireland that capture the spirit of connecting with nature quite so well as a walking festival. Walking in Ireland is an unadulterated joy with vast stretches of unspoiled landscapes. And along the way you get to experience tranquil countryside, vibrant villages, historic sites, and some of the most dramatic vistas in the country. From the Castlebar International Four Days Walking Festival, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, to the Mourne International Walking Festival through the spectacular Mourne Mountains, there’s something for everyone regardless of your ability.
What else is on in the wild and wonderful Irish countryside this summer?
