Headfort Golf Club is located just outside the historic town of Kells, in Co Meath, on the M3 from Dublin. The club is 50km north west of Dublin city and airport and one hundred and 10km south west of Belfast.

Approved to Fáilte Ireland standards, which means the services and facilities have been independently checked out before you tee-off.  Headfort's Old Course is one of the finest examples of a long-established, mature challenge, with its large selection of trees gracing the fairways and excellent greens.

Der alte Golfplatz besteht aus perfekten Greens und einer Anlage in einem alten Waldgebiet, der neue Golfplatz hingegen lehnt sich an den Fluss Blackwater an und nutzt auch 2 seiner Inseln für ein ganz anderes Golferlebnis. Nicht weniger als 13 Bahnen haben Wasserhindernisse und einige beziehen das prächtige Herrenhaus als Hintergrund ebenfalls mit ein. Dieser Golfplatz, der erst 2000 eröffnet wurde, wird regelmäßig in die Top 10 Liste irischer Golfplätze gewählt.
