Der Tralee Golf Course war Europas erster Platz, der von Arnold Palmer geplant wurde und öffnete im Oktober 1984 seine Pforten. Ein Blick genügte Palmer, um zu sehen, dass die Landschaft, in die er diesen Golfplatz bauen sollte einfach ideal war. Der Linkplatz in Barrow ist wie eine Achterbahn für Golfer in den Sanddünen mit Hindernissen und gewellten Greens. Das 12. bis 17. Loch wird von erhöhten Tees entlang des Atlantic gespielt. Der Strand neben dem 2. Loch, war Kulisse für den Oskar-Preisegekrönten Film Ryan's Daughter. Allein die Landschaft ist so aufregend, dass Sie nach jedem spiel wieder kommen möchten.
